THURSDAY NOTES AND INFO

There should be quite a few more of you here today! We’ve got 90+ medios out on Lexington and we have the whole course to ourselves, so it’s nobody’s fault but ours if pace of play is slow. NO SLUUUUGGGSSSS.

BUS PICKUP

There will be two 56-passenger busses taking us to Revere at 8:30. They will leave from 3rd Street, just outside the doors by the front desk. If for some reason that street is closed (it was the other night), the busses will pickup at valet. If all else fails, just look for several dozen people milling around aimlessly and follow them until one of them runs into a bus.

PAIRINGS

It’s a shotgun start at 10 AM. Pairings have been set in advance this year for all the rounds, so that we could accommodate peoples requests for a vaccinated cart partner. If this is the first you’re hearing of this, I’m not sure where you’ve been the last four months, but it’s too late now to put in a request.

The pairings will be on the carts and there will be course staff to help you to your cart, but you can also check them out at the bottom of this page.

TEE BOXES

We are playing our usual custom mix of tee boxes, set by El Presidente himself. I went out Wednesday afternoon and got all the boxes marked with MGAWC tee markers. That way you can shank tee shots from the exact spot those of you in the MGAWC will be playing from this weekend.

FOOD

There is no lunch box or drink tickets included Thursday, so plan accordingly. The restaurant at the course will be open until 1 and after that there will be hot dogs and burgers available on the east deck. There are also hot dogs available on the beverage carts. The clubhouse will be closed after 1 for a wedding. Please try not to ruin it.

CLUB STORAGE

If you are playing in the MGAWC (and not the Born Hairy), you have the option to leave your clubs at the course. Born Hairy player must take their clubs back to the hotel every night, as even the two BH rounds are at different courses.

If you do leave them, you are leaving them at your own risk. If they disappear or you don’t show up the last day to take them home, the MGA is not responsible. We’ve never had any issues in the past at Revere, but consider yourself warned.

BUS BACK

The busses will load up and head back to the hotel around 3:30. That is unless we have a bunch of SSSLUUUUGGGGSSS out there.

THURSDAY NIGHT PARTY

We will light this candle in style at 8 PM on the pool deck at the Downtown Grand. Each registered player will get two drink tickets (to be picked up at the party) and watch El Presidente and Co-Founder “Straight” Willie Dills make fools of all the Chapter Leaders. Rather the Chapter Leaders will make fools of themselves. You know what, you’ve just gotta be there to see it for yourself…

AFTER PARTY AND GO-TO HANG SPOT

I personally evaluated the Gold Spike Backyard Playground area last night… twice. It’s great and that will definitely be our go-to hang/meeting spot for the weekend. If you walk out the door at valet, you can see the string lighting across the street.
