The time has come!!! You’ve worked hard all year and earned this opportunity to go make yourself miserable for 6 hours (except of course for that one good shot that will keep you coming back).
TAG YOUR BAG
Before you put your bag on the bus, make sure you have a name tag on it. When you get to the course, the staff will be unloading the bags and putting them onto your cart for you. If they can’t find you on player list, it’s because you use some stupid nickname on the MGA site. Look for that stupid nickname.
BUS PICKUP
The busses will all pick up on 3rd street, at the hotel exit by the front desk. There will be many, many golfers there, so it will be hard to miss.
There will be four 56-passenger busses taking us to Revere. They will leave at 7:30 AM.
PAIRINGS
Pairings for round 1 were set using your Global Money List position (and then kinda randomized a bit so we wouldn’t have four 30+ handicappers in the same group). The pairings will be on the carts and there will be course staff around to help you find your cart.
–VIEW RED GROUP PAIRINGS (Lexington)-
–VIEW BLUE GROUP PAIRINGS (Concord)-
There will be pyramids of golf balls set up on the range. You’ll need to take a shuttle over to the range though, so give yourself some extra time.
Round 1 is a shotgun start at 9 AM.
REVERE COURSE LAYOUT
You will play each course (Lexington and Concord) once. So make sure you end up in the right cart and on the right course each day!
TEE BOXES
The tee markers for the field are custom-made MGA tee markers. We will be playing mostly silver tees, but some golds and maybe one bronze. There is one MGAWC tee marker by the tees we will play on each hole. If anyone steals it, the whole tournament is ruined. Don’t be that guy.
As a reminder, anyone whose entire MGA handicap and competition history for 2025 is based on senior tees may play up at the next set of tee markers in front of the MGAWC markers.
Any ladies whose entire MGA handicap and competition history for 2025 is based on ladies tees may play the Bronze tees on every hole.
RULES
Follow the rules of golf and finish every putt. That should pretty much cover it, but in case it doesn’t, we made a rules page. It also goes over our local rule for the rocky desert areas, check it out HERE.
FOOD
You will get a boxed lunch and two drink tickets (stapled to your scorecard). Get there early if you want to grab a veggie option.
POST ROUND
When you finish your round, make sure the two scorecards in your group match (put the most legible one on top) and have the front 9 and back 9s added up. Then hand them to the soberest person to deliver them to our volunteers. If we don’t get your card, your whole group is DQed.
After the round, we will hold the Kinda Long Drive and Kinda Close to the pin challenges. If you won a medal during the season at either of those, you’re in the competition!
Both competitions will take place right behind the clubhouse, just like last year. We’ll have a pro photographer floating around, so make sure to grab him if you want a good team photo!
CLUB STORAGE
You can leave your clubs overnight, just be sure to get a tag from the course staff and put it on your bag before leaving.
If you do leave your clubs, you are leaving them at your own risk. If they disappear or you don’t show up the last day to take them home, the MGA is not responsible. We learned that one the hard way…
BUS BACK
The busses will load up and head back to the hotel once everyone gets off the course. That should be around 3:00ish at the MGAWC. We give lots of warnings before the last bus leaves, but if you’re still out on course, you won’t hear them.
No SLUUUUGGGGSSSSS!
Once we get back, it’s free-range Monday, with no planned events after the round. Have a great fucking time and tag your pics with #MGAWC25.
