The Medio Cup is SF vs. The World. The MGA was founded in San Francisco in 2006 and they still believe they are the greatest Chapter on earth. For that reason, every year at the MGA World Championship during round one, the top 10 players (plus two captains picks) from San Francisco take on the top 10 players (plus two captains picks) from the rest of the MGA in a Ryder Cup-style event.
2018 featured a historic match between co-founders El Presidente Jon “Lucky Kick” Morley and “Straight” Willie Dills. Due to a move from SF to Austin, it was the first time Dills represented the World Team. He rallied from one down with two to play to win (sinking a 6,000 foot putt on 17) the final two holes and take a valuable full point. As a result, the World currently holds The Medio Cup.
